To the extent that the American political Left has rejected radical feminism’s deep inquiry into the nexus of eroticism, male sexual identity, sexual possession, and injustice, it has increasingly come to resemble the American political Right: a politics that is consonant with male sexual purchase and ownership of women’s bodies. The difference is that ideologues on the Right insist on private sexual ownership one-on-one, a man and his wife; whereas ideologues on the Left fantasize sexual ownership collectively or serially, a man and anything that moves.

We need to loose this discourse between bad and good feminists and stop buying into the Patriarchy’s definition of Acceptable Feminism, which is those feminists men still deem fuckable. I’m a feminist because I want nothing less than the liberation of all women from the capitalist-patriarchy.Claiming that your feminism is different from those “man-hating, dungaree wearing lesbian feminists” just reinforces lies about feminism. Feminists need to stop stating stereotypes about other feminists and otherwise you might just be reinforcing a heteronormative construction of feminism which denigrates lesbian feminists.

The hens pictured above are the same breed as my friend Tina.  Tina is not special, she is just lucky enough to be living on a sanctuary.  Every one of these girls could be just as inquisitive, just as intelligent, just as caring, just as cuddly and just as beautiful and healthy as Tina if they were treated with the love and respect they deserve. Do what they are begging you to do (Tina included) and stop eating their eggs and go vegan.
