Quick, messy graphic to explain a concept that seems obvious to me:
We shouldn’t be helping women because they’re related to someone else. We shouldn’t be helping women because someone else cares about them. We should be helping women because they are people.
We should be helping women for their own sake.
Why is that a hard concept for people to grasp?

In 1995, delegates to the Beijing World Conference on Women ratified a platform declaring, in part, “The human rights of women include their right to have control over and decide freely and responsibly on matters relating to their sexuality, including sexual and reproductive health, free of coercion, discrimination, and violence.” Those words alone were a measure of how far radical feminist ideas had swept the globe.
